A tree plantation drive was held jointly by the Metalman Auto Pvt Ltd and Aurangabad Cantonment Board (ACB) here recently. In all 500 trees of native species were planted on 1 acre of land in front of ACB. The tree-planting drive was inaugurated by Shrikant Mundada, COO of Metalman Auto Waluj and Vikrant More, CEO ACB. A high mast lamp was also inaugurated on this occasion.

Speaking on occasion, Mundada said that "More than 10,000 trees have been planted and conserved by the company." The trees include Karanj, Arjun, Kanchan, Moh, Yellow Bamboo, Bell, Mahogany Banyan and other native trees of 33 species. Plant head Anilkumar Dahale, Prakash Yekhande, Krishnakumar Bijamwar, HR head Vijay Salve, Pravin Joshi, Suryakant Shanbagh, ACB assistant engineer Nilesh Tanpure and others were present. The company and ACB will jointly look after the trees for three years.
