Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The late senior tabla maestro Ustad Zakir Hussain will always remain immortal in the hearts of discerning audiences and music practitioners. To pay tribute to Ustad Zakir Hussain, the Nadbrahma Tabla Academy has organised a melodious and high-quality music programme titled ‘Sangeet Samarpan’ for music lovers. The programme will be held at Tapadia Natya Mandir on Thursday evening at 6.30 pm.

The programme has been organised by Shon Patil, Abhishek Ligade and Rishikesh Pokhare, and it has generated keen interest among music lovers. Renowned singer Nagesh Adgaonkar will present vocal music. Eminent tabla artist from the field of Indian classical music, Pandit Yogesh Samsi, will present a tabla solo performance, which will be a special attraction. Pandit Yogesh Samsi will be accompanied on harmonium by Abhishek Shinkar. Singer Nagesh Adgaonkar will be accompanied on tabla by Soham Gorane, on pakhawaj by Ganesh Bhutekar, and on harmonium by Abhishek Shinkar.

Classical music tradition

Through the Sangeet Samarpan programme, the organisers have made an effort to preserve the rich classical tradition of music and to offer music lovers a refined musical experience.
