Aurangabad, Oct 26:

A truck driver sustained fractures in both the legs after he lost control on the steering of his vehicle and dashed a Hywa truck from behind on Beed Bypass Road today at 4.30 pm.

It so happened that the work of spreading murum is underway on Beed Bypass Road. The material is being transported in Hywa trucks. Today, the Hywa truck (bearing number MH20EL 4053) was transporting the spreading material from Jhalta Phata to Deolai Chowk Road. The vehicle was to take a turn from Sahara City to unload the murum. There are no dividers; therefore, the Hywa truck driver applied for brakes and started to take a turn. In the meantime, a speeding transport truck coming from behind dashed it from behind. The accident was severe as both the legs of the driver of the second truck got fractured. Seeing the accident, the onlookers and nearby residents took the victim out of the vehicle and admitted him to a nearest private hospital. Meanwhile, the traffic got disrupted due to the accident.

The Chikalthana and City traffic police reached the spot and undertook the task of shifting the accident vehicles towards the side of the road and restoring the traffic.
