Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

A truck descending the Ajanta Ghat on the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar-Jalgaon Highway lost brake control and rammed into an ST bus ahead of it on Wednesday morning at around 11 am. Fortunately, since both vehicles were moving at a controlled speed, all 25 passengers, both drivers, conductors, and cleaners escaped unhurt. The ST bus (MH-14, MH-0551) was heading from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to Jalgaon with 25 passengers when the truck (GJ-14-X-7172) coming from behind suffered brake failure and collided with it. The low speed of both vehicles prevented a major tragedy. Following the incident, police personnel Akash Gavale rushed to the spot and brought both vehicles to Fardapur Police Station. Traffic on the ghat slowed for a short while after the accident.
