Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Former mayor Tryambak Tupe has been appointed as the group leader of the Shinde Sena in the municipal corporation. The decision was taken at a meeting held on Friday at the residence of guardian minister Sanjay Shirsat. Shinde Sena corporators on Saturday formally registered their group with the divisional commissioner.

As per rules, corporators of various parties are required to register their respective groups within 30 days of the municipal corporation elections. Against this backdrop, with elections to the posts of mayor and deputy mayor scheduled for February 10, a meeting of nine out of the Shinde Sena’s 13 corporators was held on Friday at guardian minister Sanjay Shirsat’s residence. During the meeting, Tupe was unanimously chosen as the party’s group leader in the municipal corporation.

The group later completed its formal registration with divisional commissioner Dr Jitendra Papalkar, according to information provided by the Shinde Sena.
