Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Heavy traffic congestion brought Phulambri town on the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar–Jalgaon national highway to a standstill on Sunday evening between 5 pm and 7 pm. The two-hour gridlock left motorists and residents distressed, with even ambulances getting stuck, raising concerns over patient safety.

The town witnesses constant movement of heavy and light vehicles as three major routes pass through it. However, traffic rule violations and disorderly parking during peak hours choked the market and bus stand areas. Narrow roads, lack of parking facilities and inadequate police deployment further aggravated the situation. Residents attributed the recurring problem to insufficient parking arrangements, limited road width, shortage of traffic personnel and haphazard roadside parking. Citizens have urged the municipal council and police administration to take immediate measures, including better traffic planning, earmarking alternative routes for heavy vehicles and deploying special teams during peak hours.
