Two people died in a tragic road accident past midnight near the Mukteshwar factory under Waluj police station limits.

A speeding truck collided with a goods carrier around 1 am on Friday, killing both occupants. A case was registered on Sunday. According to the complaint by Gorakshanath Gunjal (42, Handi Nimgaon, Nevasa, Alhiyanagar), his nephew Vikas Gunjal and Vikas More (both from Handi Nimgaon) were travelling in a goods carrier (MH-14-EM-9471) towards Shendurwada near Madhuban Hotel. A truck (MH-41-AU-1913) coming from the opposite direction allegedly hit them at high speed. The truck driver, Nimba Zodge (Rahipuri, Chalisgaon, Jalgaon), was accused of rash driving. Both occupants of the goods carrier were critically injured and died before receiving treatment. Both vehicles were badly damaged. Waluj police have registered a case against the truck driver for negligent driving causing death.
