A 60-year-old woman was robbed of her two-tola gold mangalsutra while returning home from her morning walk near Mahalaxmi Chowk on May 7 around 7.30 am. A case has been registered at the Mukundwadi police station.

According to the complaint filed by Rukmini Deshatwar, Veer Savarkar Society in the Mahalaxmi Chowk area, she regularly visits a ground near Kamgar Chowk for her morning walk. While she was returning home, two youths on a motorcycle approached her from the front. One of them, with his face covered by a mask, snatched her 19-gram gold mini mangalsutra and fled. The incident occurred suddenly, leaving the victim stunned. By the time she raised an alarm, the accused had escaped. Assistant police inspector Bahure is investigating the case.
