Two minor boys reported missing from the MIDC Waluj area on April 17 have been traced safely in Kolkata, bringing relief to their families. Initially suspected to be an abduction, the case was later found to involve the boys leaving home voluntarily.

The minors, residents of Bajajnagar, had left for their coaching class but did not return till 11 pm, prompting their families to launch a search. A complaint was lodged at the MIDC Waluj police station amid fears of kidnapping. However, inquiries the next morning revealed that the boys had not attended class that day. Kolkata police later located the duo, ensured their safety, and informed their families. The parents have left for Kolkata to bring them back. Preliminary investigation indicates that anxiety over the recently declared CBSE Class 10 results led to the incident. One boy was distressed over scoring lower than expected, while the other feared his outcome. The episode underscores the mounting psychological pressure faced by students over examination results and the need for stronger emotional support mechanisms.
