Two vehicle theft cases were registered on May 17 in the city.

In the first incident, a two-wheeler (MH-20-FF-1108) belonging to Umesh Mule (Mahora, Jalna district) was stolen from outside Jijau Medical, TV Centre Chowk, on May 15 afternoon. A case has been registered at Cidco Police Station. In the second incident, the four-wheeler (MH-05-EA-8021) of adv Sandesh Patil (Digvijay Apartment, Vidyanagar) was parked outside his apartment as usual. On May 16 at 6 am, two individuals who arrived in a separate vehicle (MP-03-ZD-1654) smashed the car's window, entered the vehicle, and tampered with the wiring in an attempt to steal it. The attempt was unsuccessful. A case has been registered at the Pundaliknagar police station.
