A speeding vehicle hit a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law recently at Akashvani Chowk around 7 pm, leaving both seriously injured.

Rani Raut (25, Waluj) had come to the city with her mother-in-law that day. As they attempted to cross the road at Akashvani Chowk, an unidentified four-wheeler struck them. The impact left her mother-in-law unconscious on the spot, while Rani also suffered severe injuries. A case was registered at Jawaharnagar police station on Thursday.
