Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

United Nations Resident Coordinator in India, Stefan Priesner, arrived in the tourist city of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on Friday morning along with his family. He is on a private visit to explore the region’s historic sites.

Priesner, who hails from Austria, reached the city at around 8 am. Mayor Sameer Rajurkar and regional deputy director of tourism Vijay Jadhav welcomed him with a shawl and bouquet. International tourist guide Dr Subhash Jadhav, district tourism officer Azim Shaikh, and Tourism assistant Dr Shivaji Gaikwad were also present on the occasion. During his visit, Priesner is scheduled to tour renowned heritage sites including Ajanta Caves, Ellora Caves, and Daulatabad Fort. His visit is expected to provide a boost to the city’s tourism sector.
