Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Different non-teaching employees unions including Marathwada Temporary Non-Teaching Employees Forum, demanded to conduct recruitment of employees in aided senior colleges and universities of Marthwada.

A memorandum of demands was submitted to Joint Director, Divisional Higher Education Dr Pankaja Waghmare stating thousands of non-teaching posts in government and aided colleges across the State have been lying vacant for years and this is directly affecting student services and the educational process.

It warned that if the long-pending demand is not considered, the employees would take to the streets.

The demands included the government resolution approving 2,900 non-teaching posts should be issued immediately, as it remains pending despite approval, Recruitment of 856 Laboratory Assistant posts should be carried out with retrospective effect as per the Government Resolution dated 3 November 2018, 100% vacant posts in aided colleges and universities should be filled and special concession should be granted to eligible candidates who have crossed the age limit.
