University asked to withdraw cases registered against protesting students

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Goraksh Lokhande, a member of the State Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Commission said that Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University was instructed to withdraw the cases registered against the students who were agitating for various demands.

He was at the university on Saturday to review the complaints made by students, officers and employees. He visited various hostels and departments of the university and inspected them.

Lokhande gave instructions to the administration regarding the promotion of officers and employees in the SC, and ST categories, recommendations of the Lad-Page Committee, complaints of women officers, and allegations made by various officers and employees against the registrar.

Vice Chancellor Dr Vijay Fulari, Pro-VC Dr Walmik Sarwade, Registrar Dr Prashant Amrutkar and officers were present.

Students have the right to protest to get their demands approved. So, Goraksh Lokhande directed the university administration to withdraw the cases registered against the students due to their protest.
