Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

A fire broke out on the Sulibhanjan hills near Talavwadi village, close to the DattaTemple precincts in the taluka, on Sunday around 8 pm. The hills along the Solapur-Dhule route were set ablaze at three to four different locations by unidentified individuals.

Local farmers from Talavwadi alerted the forest department about the incident. Forest guard Krishna Shinde and his team rushed to the site and began firefighting operations. Efforts continued until 9 pm to bring the fire under control. Forest department officials stated that the fire was expected to be completely extinguished within about an hour. Guard Krishna Shinde added that the bright light from the full moon made firefighting easier and posed no difficulty.
