After unseasonal rain accompanied by strong winds and lightning occurred around 10 pm on Wednesday in the city and surrounding areas, heavy rain with thunder and lightning was also witnessed on Thursday night at around 9.45 pm. Due to the rainfall, power outages were reported in several parts of the city. The rain initially began as light showers, gradually turning moderate and then heavy. A light drizzle started around 8.30 pm in areas such as Pisadevi and Harsul. About an hour later, heavy showers accompanied by strong winds began across the city and its surroundings. Most parts of the city experienced rainfall. Over the past four days, the maximum temperature has been dropping, and the meteorological department has issued a warning of rain with possible hail until March 22. The city recorded a maximum temperature of 34.3 degrees Celsius during the day on Thursday.
