Untimely rain with strong winds, thunder, and lightning began around 10 pm on Wednesday, creating monsoon-like conditions. Showers started light and turned moderate, while several parts of the city faced power outages.

Hailstorm was reported in Sindhi Colony, Kranti Chowk, Sille khana, Samarth Nagar, Nageshwar Wadi, Mill Corner, Nehru Bhavan, Town Hall, Mondha Naka, Bhavsinghpura, Bhimnagar, Aamkhas Maidan, Budhilane, and Aref Colony. Heavy rain with hail also hit Nagasen Van, Nandanvan Colony, and Cantonment areas, with tree falls reported in Bhavsinghpura. Power supply was immediately disrupted in Khadkeshwar, and both substations between Kranti Chowk and the railway station went down. Kanchanwadi and Padegaon also faced outages, causing inconvenience. The maximum temperature has been dropping for three days; the weather department had already issued a rain and hail alert. On Wednesday, it was recorded at 34.5°C.
