Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

The mayor Sameer Rajurkar during inspection of the ongoing memorial project at the Late Balasaheb Thackeray memorial garden instructed that the pedestal on which the completed bronze statue of Bal Thackeray will be installed should be designed with due consideration to wind pressure and other technical parameters to ensure structural stability.

He further directed that solar panels with a capacity of approximately 40 kW be installed on the lavatory block within the memorial campus to meet the electricity requirements of the entire site.

To ensure sustainable water management, Rajurkar instructed that treated water from the Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) be utilised for watering trees in the garden through a drip irrigation system.

In order to maintain high construction standards and quality, he also directed officials to seek technical guidance from expert professors at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay.
