The members of Valmiki Community staged demonstrations at Gulmandi on Thursday to condemn the gang-rape and murder of a girl at Hathras in Uttar Pradesh. Men and women of Valmiki Community were present in large numbers.
Former corporator, Sanju Ridlon, Subhash Kagda, Husharsingh Chavan and others led the demonstrations. A memorandum was presented to the divisional commissioner demanding trail of the case in fast track court, and the culprits should be hanged. Sachin Khaire, Nagraj Gaikwad, Ramkuvar Ridlon, Arjun Gogale, Rina Ridlon, Saniya Ridlon, Sumit Ridlon, Sunny Lahot, Gokul Dulgach, Vishal Charan and others were present.
