Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:
Under the new water supply scheme, the work of replacing the scour valve on the 2,500 mm diameter pipeline was completed on Saturday evening.
Further work, including the installation of a large pipe beyond the valve, is planned. Cement concreting will also be carried out to ensure that the valve is not damaged again due to water pressure or shock.
Both works are expected to be completed on Sunday. After this, testing of the water pipeline is likely to resume on Monday, said the Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran (MJP) officials.
