Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

The Vande Bharat Express, which was diverted to Nanded, has been running almost empty for the past five months. Since its diversion, passengers have been avoiding travel on this train. As a result, there is a persistent demand among travelers to restore the train’s timing to the earlier schedule of 5.50 am. On Republic Day, however, the Vande Bharat Express saw its reservations fully on ‘waiting.’

The Vande Bharat Express ran from Jalna until 25 August 2025. While running from Jalna, it departed Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar at 5.50 am and reached Mumbai by 11.55 am. After being diverted to Nanded, from 27 August 2025, the train now departs Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar at 8.15 am and reaches Mumbai at 2.25 pm.

In the coming days, reservations on other trains to Mumbai, such as Tapovan, Nandigram, Devgiri, and Rajyarani Express, are on ‘waiting.’ However, seats on the Vande Bharat Express remain largely vacant. Only on 26 January, reservations for this train are fully booked. With the increased passenger rush due to consecutive holidays, many have opted to book the Vande Bharat Express.

Vande Bharat Express Reservation Status

Date Available Seats

23 January 801

24 January 638

25 January 589

26 January Waiting 48

27 January 649

Time Needs to Be Changed

The Vande Bharat Express reaches Mumbai very late, making same-day return impossible. The overnight stay becomes inconvenient. Therefore, it is necessary to restore the train’s timing to the earlier schedule.
