Aurangabad, Dec 5:

The Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) activists staged a protest in front of Subhedari guest house, chanting slogans against relief and rehabilitation minister Vijay Wadettiwar who did not come to accept the statement.

Wadettiwar was in the city on Saturday to attend an OBC conference. The VBA activists were waiting at the guest house since 1 pm to make a statement to the minister. However, at 4.30 pm they were informed that the minister would not come as he had left for Jalna. After waiting for three and a half hours, the activists started shouting slogans against Wadettiwar. Yogesh Ban, district president of the association, said that the Mahatma Jotiba Phule research and training center, Mahajyoti Nagpur, has launched a scheme for a specific community in nomadic tribes (NT). We were going to give a statement to the minister that the scheme should be implemented for all communities in the NT category. But the minister did not turn to Subhedari. Hence we protested against the minister. Ravi Tayde, Anjan Salve, Milind Borde, P.K Dabhade and other activists were present. The activists had left by the time police officers arrived
