Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

District Collector Deelip Swami on Wednesday directed all supervisors to complete voter list mapping and verification by the end of March through booth level officers (BLOs), by visiting voters at their homes.

A two-session training workshop for supervisors was held at the District Planning Committee (DPC) hall. Deputy district election officer Devendra Katke, sub-divisional officers (SDO) Venkat Rathod, and Nilesh Apar were present at the session.

Collector Swami said that one BLO has been appointed for every polling station with around 1,000 voters, and one supervisor has been assigned to oversee the work of ten BLOs. During the mapping process, officials must visit voters’ homes and provide two forms to collect information. One form should be retained and verified against the 2002 voter list.

While conducting the mapping, it is essential to check whether voters’ names appear in the 2002 electoral roll. Those whose names are missing should be included, and the details of new voters must also be verified. Information from parents and family members of individuals aged 18 should be used to ensure their inclusion in the voter list.
