Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

In recognition of the lifelong literary contributions of Syed Shah Hussain Nehri—a prominent and respected figure of the historic city, senior teacher, and scholar of Urdu literature— the Leader of the Opposition in Legislative Council, MLC Ambadas Danve, felicitated him, at a small function organised at Nehri’s residence in Rahat Colony (near Panchayat Samiti Office), on Sunday evening. The Urdu daily editor Shakeeb Khusro was also the chief guest.

Danve presented a certificate of appreciation, a shawl and a bouquet of flowers to the veteran scholar and expressed immense happiness in honouring him. Khusro also congratulated Nehri on the occasion. The function was hosted by former corporator Mohsin Ahmed on behalf of the charitable trust, Jan Jagran Samiti Maharashtra. Adv. Aslam Mirza presided over.

Nehri has contributed 60 years of dedicated literary service and has won many accolades, laurels and has been honoured with many awards for his achievements in the past. Many dignitaries and distinguished personalities from literary, teaching and other fields attended the function, stated the press release issued by JSM general secretary Khan Mohammed Yasar.
