Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Vice president of the country Jageep Dhankhar will perform Bhoomipujan of four buildings at the campus of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu) on February 22.

The Central Government approved a fund of Rs 100 crore to Bamu for the development.

The four buildings are being developed for the departments from funding received under the PM-Usha project. The university already appointed the contractors for the construction of the buildings through Public Works Departments.

Besides construction, equipment and educational items will be also purchased from the fund.

The department-wise construction cost of the buildings are as follows; Stress Buster Recreation Facility Centre-building (Rs 9.48 crore), Centre for Folk and Cultural Studies of Marathwada (Rs 6.62 crore), Student Facilities at Central Library and Reading Room Area ( Toilet Block, Parking Shed, Dinning Shed and Chainlink Fencing)-Rs 3.75 crore and Centre for Digital Transformation (Rs 7.74 crore).
