Initiative of Patni-Pidit Ashram to advocate rights for men

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: On the occasion of Vijayadashami on Tuesday, the members of the Patni-Pidit Purush Ashram at Karodi burnt the effigy of Shurpanakha. On this occasion, the men harassed by their wives protested in a unique way by singing Abhang and songs.

The programme was organized in Patni-pidit Ashram of Karodi to help the quarrelsome wife to get wisdom and also to end the bad attitude among women. Initially, the members worshiped the images of crow, Shurpanakha and Naradmuni and burnt the effigy of Shurpankha ideology, protesting against the wife who torture their husbands by singing Gavlan and abhang. The members burned the effigy and circled around and prayed to God for the wife to get good sense.

Ashram founder Adv Bharat Phulare said that at present many people's lives are being destroyed due to family disputes and the rate of separation of husband and wife due to minor disputes is increasing day by day. As most of the laws in the country are in favor of women. Charan Singh Ghusinge, Suresh Phulare, Vaibhav Gholve, Jagdish Shinde and others were present.

10200 members across the country

In all, 10,200 members from across the country have registered in Karodi ashram. Adv Phulare said that the victimized men who register in this ashram are being helped by providing free legal guidance to fight the case in court.
