Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Police personnel must dedicate time for themselves daily and undergo annual health check-ups, said special inspector general of police Virendra Mishra at a free eye and diabetes screening camp organised by the Lions Club of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Chikalthana) for rural police and their families.

Highlighting stress, insomnia and lifestyle-related risks in police service, he stressed that health is vital for both family and department. District superintendent of police Vinay kumar Rathod advised personnel to share concerns and manage stress proactively. Psychiatrist Dr Vikram Patankar and communication expert Dr Nilesh Surana guided participants on mental health and empathy. Past district governor Arvind Machhar said 40% of those examined had eye-related issues. A total of 122 individuals underwent screening.
