Aurangabad, Nov 9:

The administrator of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) Astik Kumar Pandey and his team has initiated to form a ''Wall of Humanity'' (locally called as Manuskichi Bhint) on November 12. The project aims at bringing cheers on the faces of poor and needy persons this Diwali. They will be presented with gifts.

Earlier, Pandey had appealed to the citizens to give surplus or unused clothes, footwear, books, blankets or any other items etc. He appealed to donate them at the nearest zone office.

It may be noted that one side many people had items lying unused in their houses, but on the other hand, there are some poor and needy who are deprived of it. Hence the project intends to bring the peoples together for a good cause through the Wall of Humanity. There is no compulsion for donating only new things. AMC will accept all used articles and items, and it will then hand it over to the needy and poor citizens.

It may be noted that the AMC had launched the drive to keep the city clean, green and beautiful under the Love Aurangabad campaign since October 31. It is being implemented by the AMC''s sanitary staff, citizens, organisations, societies etc. in the jurisdiction of all nine zones. The gardens, heritage structures and gates and other places are cleaned up under the drive. Pandey has appealed to the citizens to participate in the drive-by keeping your house and your vicinity clean and tidy.
