Chhatrapati Sambhajingar

A joyful family outing turned into a heartbreaking tragedy on Monday. Nikhil Gangwal, a resident of the Jijau Chowk area in Waluj Mahanagar, had gone to Igatpuri with his family for a trip when his four-year-old son, Rishabh, drowned at a water park.

The family, including Rishabh’s parents, uncle, aunt and grandmother, was enjoying the outing when the child suddenly drowned while playing in the water park. After noticing the incident, family members immediately pulled him out and rushed him to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead. After completing the necessary legal formalities late at night, the body was handed over to the family. They left for Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar the same night. The tragic incident has cast a pall of gloom over the Waluj area, with citizens expressing the need for stricter safety measures at tourist spots, especially water parks.
