Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Roadworks are underway in the Roshan Gate area under the Smart City initiative. Some traders in the area have encroached on public space, causing traffic jams every evening.
On Wednesday, deputy commissioner Savita Sonawane of the anti-encroachment section inspected the site. Traders who have placed sheds or other materials outside their premises were advised to remove them voluntarily. Authorities have warned that action will be taken on Thursday if the encroachments are not cleared.
