Aurangabad, April 13:

The taps in Jinsipura and Khristanagar area behind Little Flower High School in the cantonment have run dry for the past two years. The residents have demanded that the contentment provide water and other basic facilities.

The area falls in ward no 1 of the cantonment. The Aurangabad Cantonment Board (ACB) collects property tax, water bills and other taxes. However, the residents are deprived of basic facilities. Residents have to bring water from nearby areas. Residents Baba Misal, Andres Misal, Vilas Battise, Pralhad Ingles, Sanjay Patole, Sunil Patole, Michael Hatagale have demanded that the cantonment board provide drinking water and other civic amenities.
