Aurangabad, Oct 28:

Maulana Azad College and National Commissioner for Women (NCW) jointly hosted a one-day national level webinar on ‘Mental Health and Well Being of Women at Workplace: Challenges and Solutions’ on Tuesday to commemorate the birth centenary year of late Dr Rafiq Zakaria, founder president of Maulana Azad Education Society and Trust.

In her inaugural speech, chairman of NCW Rekha Sharma strongly emphasised the need for bringing attitudinal changes in all walks of life while dealing with women at work. Dr Sadhana Pandey, Dr Amrita Deb (IIT Hyderabad), Dr Sadhana Natu (Pune) and Dr Aparna Ashtaputre also spoke.

More than 300 delegates from all over India and also abroad participated in it. College Principal Dr Mazhar Farooqui briefed about the initiatives taken by the college to provide a secure academic and working environment for female students and staff. Webinar convener Dr Aparna Saraf spoke about the objective of the webinar.

Dr M A Bari, Dr Aditi Bhattacharya, Dr Madhuri Sahasrabuddhe, Dr Shaikh Sadikali, Dr Anis Ahmed and others worked for the success of the event. Dr U K Asema conducted proceedings of the event. Prof Arif Pathan proposed a vote of thanks.
