Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

A wedding ceremony near Shah Udyan, Pundliknagar turned violent on April 29 evening after two unidentified men assaulted a man serving food, suspecting him to be an outsider.

The victim, Shailesh Kamble (32, Anandnagar), was serving food to guests around 6.30 pm when he was taken outside the venue by the accused, who repeatedly asked, “Who are you?” Despite explaining his relation to the family, he was abused, beaten with kicks and punches, and later attacked with a sharp weapon on his neck, chest, and hands. Relatives intervened after hearing the commotion, following which the attackers fled. One accused has been identified as Sangpal Jawale. Kamble later took treatment at a hospital and lodged a complaint at Pundliknagar police station. A case has been registered against Jawale and his associate.
