Gudi Padwa will be celebrated across the region on Thursday. However, many people are unsure about the correct time to hoist and lower the Gudi.

According to Vedic scholar Suresh Kedare Guruji, Amavasya ends at 6:45 am. After that, the Gudi should be ceremonially hoisted between 7:00 am and 8:00 am.

It should be taken down in the evening at the time of sunset, between 6:30 pm and 6:45 pm.
