Aurangabad, July 21:

The wife of an industrialist from the city called at the police control room and complained that her husband has extramarital affairs with two women, and he tortures her by beating her frequently.

The Damini squad, on receiving the complaint, immediately rushed to the house of the complainant. The police counseled the woman and called her husband at home. He later assured that he would not torture his wife again.

The industrialist has three units in the industrial area and lives with his wife and two children at Paithan Road. Four days back, his wife called the police control room and requested for help of the Damini squad to save her from her husband, who often beat her. He is also having affairs with two women, she mentioned in her complaint.

The police interrogated the man, next day at the complaint redressal centre; he said that he is not having an affair with anyone. The police then counseled the woman and the man, who later assured not to beat her again. PI Kiran Patil warned him of dire consequences and he also assured not to give any trouble to his wife.
