Aurangabad, Dec 30:

Fed up of constant mental and physical torture from the in-laws and demand to bring Rs 2 lakh from parents to purchase a motorcycle, a 22 years old woman committed suicide at Pimpri in Gangapur tehsil. The deceased has been identified as Mandakini Yogesh Barhate.

Police said, Mandakini was married to Yogesh Nivrutti Barahate, three years back. However, her in-laws and husband used to inflict mental and physical torture to her since the marriage. For the past one year, her hubband Yogesh, mother-in-law Mangalabai Nivrutti Barahate, father-in-law Nivrutti Kachru Barhate demanded her to bring Rs 2 lakh from her parents to purchase a motorcycle. Fed up of constant torture, she committed suicide by jumping in a well at a farm at Narhari Ranjangaon Shivar on December 27. The body was removed from the well next day. Mandakini’s father Sanjay Tikhe (Mendhi Shiva, Gangapur) lodged a complaint in this regard.
