Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

A woman who was seriously injured in a road accident on Thursday afternoon on the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar–Ahilyanagar highway succumbed to her injuries during treatment at a private hospital on Friday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Sharda Ganpat Shinde (40), a resident of Pimpalwadi.

The accident occurred when the driver of a speeding Eicher tempo, coming from the Pune side, lost control of the vehicle. The tempo rammed into the Shinde couple’s two-wheeler, which was parked near the road divider. Sharda Shinde sustained critical injuries in the collision, while her husband, Ganpat Shinde, suffered minor injuries.

The last rites of Sharda Shinde were performed on Friday evening. She is survived by her husband, two children, a daughter-in-law, and grandchildren.
