Amid a spate of gold chain thefts in the city, a woman walking in Jawaharnagar was followed by two motorcyclists, who snatched a 17-gram gold necklace from her. The incident occurred on Tuesday night around 10 pm.

Pallavi Tehre, (Shivshankar Colony), had gone to Omkareshwar Temple with her mother-in-law after dinner. While walking through Vishwabharati Colony, one of the motorcyclists sitting behind grabbed the necklace from her neck and sped away in the direction of Chetak Ghoda Chowk. Jawaharnagar police are investigating the case.
