Women power showcased through ‘Super Woman Bike Rally’

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the district administration and the school education department organised a ‘Super Woman Bike Rally’ on Sunday. Women officers and employees from various departments participated in the rally, delivering a strong message of women’s empowerment.

The rally commenced from Kranti Chowk and was flagged off by education officers Jayashree Chavan and Ashwini Lathkar. District collector Deelip Swami and deputy collector Sangeeta Rathod were present on the occasion. The rally passed through major routes including Paithan Gate, Tapadiya Rangmandir Road and Aurangpura Bhaji Mandi before concluding at the district collector’s office. During the rally, slogans promoting women’s empowerment echoed throughout the area. Participants also paid tributes to the statues of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule, recalling their contributions to women’s education and the fight for equality.

The rally concluded at the district collector’s office. District collector Deelip Swami guided the participants on the occasion. Deputy collector Sangeeta Rathod delivered the introductory remarks, while education officer Ashwini Lathkar proposed the vote of thanks.

Support from traffic police

The traffic police department extended cooperation for the successful organisation of the rally. Proper traffic management and safety arrangements ensured the smooth conduct of the programme. The social health organisation Red Swastik also provided an ambulance to handle any emergency situations.
