Women’s Day celebrated with enthusiasm in CSMC

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

As the municipal corporation had a holiday on Sunday due to International Women's Day, the programme marking the occasion was held on Tuesday. During the event, women officers who had performed outstanding work were honoured.

The programme was inaugurated by mayor Sameer Rajurkar by lighting the ceremonial lamp. Deputy mayor Rajendra Janjal, leader of the opposition Abdul Sameer, additional commissioners Kalpita Pimpale and Ranjit Patil, deputy commissioners Lakhichand Chavan, Vikas Navale, Ankush Pandhare, Aparna Thete, and municipal officer of health (MoH) Dr Paras Mandlecha were present on the occasion.

Women corporators including Madhuri Deshmukh, Kirti Shinde, Surekha Sanap, Shilpa Rani Wadkar, Shobha Burande, Sumitra Matre, Surekha Gaikwad, Kamal Narote, Sunita Solunke, Satyabhama Shinde, Mukta Kishan Thube, Gangabai Bhaware and others were also present.

A total of 98 women officers and employees who had demonstrated excellent work were felicitated with a rose bouquet, a certificate and a gift. Various fun games for women were organised during the programme, along with cultural performances.
