Aurangabad, July 7:

The work of installation of new waterline in W and J-sector of Chikalthana MIDC has started and will be completed in next 15 days. Work on street lights, rainwater drainage and roads have been taken up on priority, said MIDC chief engineer S A Darade. He was speaking in a meeting with the office bearers of the Marathwada Association of Small Scale Industries and Agriculture (MASSIA) held today. The members put forward various pending issues of the industrial area.

The members called for opening of truck terminal at Sector-K in Waluj MIDC, starting street lights in L-sector, widening of road from Kamgar Chowk to FDC, reduction of number of openings in main road dividers, setting up of police post at Kamgar Chowk, repair of roads at Chikalthana MIDC, cleaning of rain water drainages in Chikalthana, Waluj and Shendra MIDC, repair of pipeline supplying water to W and J-sector in Chikalthana and laying new pipelines in the industrial area. Responding to the issues raised by Massia, the chief engineer Darade and executive engineer Bhushan Harshe said that the rain water drainage in Chikalthana, Waluj and Shendra will be inspected and arrangements will be made for drainage and cleaning of water outlets. The work of removing encroachments on nullah will be done on priority. Installation of street lights in Waluj L-sector will be completed in two months in Chikalthana MIDC. Work on a new pipeline to supply water to the W and J-sector in Chikalthana has been started and will be completed in the next 15 days. Massia president Narayan Pawar, Kiran Jagtap, Anil Patil, Gajanan Deshmukh, Chetan Raut, Rahul Mogle, officials M K Bodhe, Ravindra Kulkarni, deputy engineer S Sutrave and others were present.
