Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

The second phase of the ‘Health Counselling Workshop,’ aimed at promoting the physical, mental, and social well-being of students across all schools within the municipal limits, was conducted simultaneously on February 3, 2026.

Under the initiative of district collector Deelip Swami and under the guidance of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation (CSMC) commissioner G Sreekanth and the municipal officer of health (MoH) Dr Paras Mandlecha, the first phase of the workshop was held in all schools on January 28, 2026 from 10 am to 11 am.

As part of this initiative, workshops were organised in 206 schools across the municipal corporation area. At MIT School, Cidco N4, district collector Deelip Swami, Dr Mandlecha, education officer (secondary) Ashwini Lathkar, along with Dr Anupam Takalkar, President of Indian Medical Association (IMA), and medical officer Dr. Megha Jogdand guided students. A large number of students and teachers attended the session.

The workshops covered topics including balanced diet, harmful effects of junk food, personal hygiene, limits on mobile and screen time, mental health, adolescent issues and substance abuse, sickle cell anaemia, and tuberculosis eradication initiatives. Experts addressed student queries during interactive question-and-answer and counselling sessions.
