Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The work of the State-of-the-Art synthetic track for athletics is nearing completion. Along with this, a state-of-the-art indoor hall for wrestling and a cricket ground will be built soon,” said Dr Vijay Fulari, Vice-Chancellor, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu).

Bamu Employees' Team won the third prize in the State Inter-University VC Cricket T-20 Cup 2026, by Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University, recently.

VC Dr Fulari met all the members of this team and handed over the trophy. He said that substantial financial provision would be made for the sports department in the upcoming budget.

Pro-VC Dr Walmik Sarwade, President of the Employees' Association Dr Kailas Pathrikar, Sports Director Dr Sachin Deshmukh, Principal Dr Fulchandra Salampure, In-charge Finance and Accounts Officer Dr Sanjay Kavade, Ravindra Kale, Dr Sanjay Shinde and Ganesh Kharat were present.

Jitendra Patil was the captain of the team and Ravindra Khatal worked as the vice-captain. The team members included Nitin Gaikwad, Ravindra Pardhi, Balbhim Markad, Kartik Chavan, Anwar Khan and Tanvir Ahmed.
