Young woman dies by suicide in rented room in N-9

A 25-year-old woman was found dead in her rented room in Cidco N-9 on Saturday night, with police suspecting suicide. The Cidco police have registered a case and begun an investigation.

The deceased, Mayuri Vilas Magare, a resident of Harsul, worked in event management and had returned home for dinner before heading back to her rented accommodation. That night, she allegedly hanged herself. Her sister tried calling her multiple times, but after getting no response, she alerted a neighbour. When the neighbour looked through the window, she saw Mayuri hanging and immediately raised an alarm. The landlord and other residents rushed to the scene, followed by her family. She was taken to GMCH, where doctors declared her dead on arrival. Mayuri leaves behind her parents, two brothers, and four sisters. The reason for the suicide remains unknown, and police are investigating.
