Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A dispute over silencing a loud music system during anniversary celebrations led to a violent confrontation in Krantinagar, where two brothers brutally assaulted a local youth with a knife. The incident occurred at approximately 12.30 am on April 14.

Details of the Assault

The victim, identified as Kundan Bhagwan Khandagale (28), was injured during the altercation. Around midnight, a DJ system was being tested in the locality. Kundan approached the group and requested them to shut it down. His request sparked an argument with two brothers, Rohit Raju Sonawane and Rahul Raju Sonawane. The duo reportedly shouted, "You aren't some big member of the committee," before turning violent. Rohit allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed Kundan, targeting his neck and eyes.

Intervention and legal action

A major tragedy was averted when local residents rushed to the spot to intervene, causing the attackers to stop. The Vedantnagar Police have since registered a case and further investigation is underway.
