Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

A 23-year-old youth died after collapsing during a physical test conducted as part of the railway police recruitment process at the Superintendent of Police office in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on Saturday.

The deceased has been identified as Sangram Shinde (23, Sangli district). According to police officials, Shinde was participating in the running test when he suddenly collapsed on the ground. Police personnel present at the venue immediately shifted him to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for treatment. However, doctors examined him and declared him dead before treatment could begin. The incident caused brief panic among other candidates and officials at the recruitment ground. Police stated that the exact cause of death will be determined after the post-mortem examination.
