Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A youth who came to his uncle's village for vacation drowned in a farm pond at Kadim Shahapur village in Gangapur tehsil of the district on Wednesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Rohan Machhindra Bankar (18, Babhulgaon, Gangapur).

According to details, Rohan had arrived at his uncle's town a few days ago. When his father came to Shahapur this morning, Rohan took his motorcycle and went to the farm. However, when he did not return for a long time, his uncle went searching for him and found him unconscious in the farm pond at 10 am today.

Relatives immediately rushed him to the Sub-District Hospital in Gangapur, where doctors examined him and declared him dead. The Waluj Police are conducting further investigation into the matter.
