Aurangabad, Oct 22:

Finally, the proposal of Zilla Parishad (ZP) administrative building was submitted to the high power committee of the State Government. The proposal was pending for the past 20 years.

The cost of the proposal is Rs 54 crore.Chairman of Finance and Construction Committee of ZP Kishor Balande gave this information in today’s general body meeting. He said that decision on the proposal is likely to be taken in a week and the work will commence after the completion of the tendering process in January.Balande tabled a resolution in the meeting to express gratitude to Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, deputy CM Ajit Pawar, Minister of State for Rural Development Abdul Sattar for approving the proposal.

After CM, deputy CM and ministers approval, the proposal was forwarded to the high power committee. The then ZP president adv Devyani Dongaonkar, chairman of Construction Committee Vilas Bhumre took up the issue of an administrative building with EGS Minister Sandipan Bhumre, Minister Abdul Sattar.

Balande took pursued the proposal further with the ministers. ZP president, office-bearers were congratulated as the proposal was sent to high power committee. A member Pankaj Thombre said that ZP officers are unable to get compensation for damages caused to ZP roads for Samruddhi Mahamarg Expressway works. Keshav Tayde, Ramesh Pawar and Kishor Pawar demanded to repair the roads.
