Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A special meeting will be hosted on April 2 for the election of Zilla Parishad Subject Committee chairpersons. “The meeting will be held at 2 PM in the Planning Hall of the Collector's Office. The selection process will begin at 10 AM,” said Santosh Gorad, the Presiding Officer of the meeting.

Nominations will be accepted from 10 AM to 12 noon. A special meeting will commence at 2 PM, followed by scrutiny of applications, then time will be given for withdrawal of nominations, after which the final list of contesting candidates will be announced.

If more than one candidate is in the fray for a committee chairperson post, voting will be conducted by a show of hands. The ZP President and Vice-President will not be eligible to vote in the election. The entire voting process will be video recorded. A total of 63 newly elected ZP members and 9 Panchayat Samiti Chairpersons have been invited to attend the meeting.
