New Delhi [India], October 24: Drone Destination, a frontrunner in this initiative, has joined hands with IFFCO (Indian Farmers Fertiliser Coop Ltd.) and leading Agricultural Drone Manufacturers to kickstart the "All Women Drone Pilot Training Program" at multiple locations under the "Lakhpati Didi Yojana," as announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This program aims to empower women-led self-help groups (SHGs) by turning them into skilled drone operators and entrepreneurs.

Prime Minister Modi shared that "Drone ki Udaan will be carried out by thousands of women from SHGs who will be trained to operate as well as repair drones." Under the initiative, the government will provide drones to thousands of women members of 15,000 SHGs, and aim to create 2 crore 'lakhpati didis' in villages.

Drone Destination swiftly embarked on training initiatives in alignment with the government's visionary program. Chirag Sharma, CEO, Drone Destination shared that "we are confident that the drone technology will enable precision farming and open new avenues of income generation for our farmer community." The company has started Medium Class Certified Kisan Drone Training along with its partner IGRUA in Gurugram, Phulpur & Gwalior, and recently trained 60+ women drone pilots who will be licensed to fly kisan drones upto 50 Kgs.

Over the next year, Drone Destination is starting such training programs pan-India and intends to provide training to more than 10,000 women from self-help groups on various drone operations and maintenance courses.

To give a boost to capacity building within the Drone sector, Ministry of Civil Aviation, recently announced an amendment to the Drone Rules 2021, wherein the requirement for a Passport to become a Certified Drone Pilot has been removed. An individual simply needs to be Class Xth pass and possess an Aadhar Card and a valid secondary ID to enroll in a DGCA-Certified Drone Pilot Training Program.

Drone Destination Limited recently had a blockbuster IPO and became the first drone company to list on NSE Emerge. The company is gearing up to develop the largest network of Drone Hubs that will offer drone sales, after-sales, maintenance & repair, drone services and training under one roof. Drone Destination invites partners and stakeholders to be part of the new drone revolution and help India become the Drone Capital of the world by 2030.
